Danish King Frederik X's Visit to Japan
On April 23, a notable event unfolded in Tokyo as King Frederik X of Denmark attended the signing of a strategic agreement between Okamura Foods Co., Ltd., led by CEO Koichi Okamura, and its subsidiary Musholm A/S from Denmark. The ceremony took place in the presence of the king, marking a significant step towards enhancing salmon trout aquaculture through this international partnership.
The agreement aims to boost production targets set forth in Okamura’s Medium-Term Management Objectives for 2030, which envision annual salmon production of 12,000 tons in Japan and 5,000 tons in Denmark through collaborative efforts in technical and human resources.
A Culinary Showcase at the Danish Embassy
Later that evening, a reception hosted at the Danish embassy showcased the partnership's potential through culinary offerings featuring salmon trout and ikura (salmon roe). Attendees savored sushi and sashimi crafted from Okamura’s premium Aomori Salmon®, as well as related products, allowing guests to gain a deeper understanding of Okamura Foods’ operations and values.
