Costa Rica Showcases Sustainable Innovation at London Tech Week 2025
In a world where innovation must be guided by purpose and responsibility, Costa Rica is preparing to take center stage at London Tech Week 2025. With a unique offering that combines talent, technology, and sustainability, Costa Rica is set to redefine its position in the tech landscape and attract strategic investments.
The Costa Rican delegation will showcase its capabilities in software development, outsourcing, artificial intelligence, cloud technology, and digital marketing at booth #392. Prominent companies such as WillDom, Pura Vida Growth, WAM Digital, Congero, Square Codex, and Toursys, along with representatives from the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promotion Agency (PROCOMER), will be present. This initiative highlights Costa Rica's status as one of the most dynamic tech ecosystems in Latin America, characterized by its political stability, a highly skilled workforce, cultural affinity, and a commitment to sustainable foreign investment.
Laura López, General Director of PROCOMER, emphasized the country's appeal: “Costa Rica provides reliable, creative, and sustainable solutions. Our bilingual talent, quality offerings for export, and competitive investment environment make us a strategic partner for companies aspiring to expand globally. Our participation in London Tech Week 2025 reinforces our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and national well-being.”
A standout feature of Costa Rica’s participation will be an interactive sustainability experience at their booth. Visitors will engage in a digital challenge based on the country's environmental successes, with each participant ‘planting’ a virtual tree. This virtual tree will later be physically planted in Costa Rican soil, transforming digital interaction into tangible climate action.
Adriana Acosta, Director of essential COSTA RICA, stated, “We are not here to tell a green story — it is already well-known. We are here to take action. This initiative reflects our Country Brand Strategy 2035 and aims to create a lasting impact while inviting everyone to be part of the change that Costa Rica is championing.”
In addition to the interactive experience, Costa Rica will conduct a session titled “Natural Intelligence Powering Tech Innovation from Costa Rica” at the Learning Lab. The session will highlight the nation’s comprehensive value proposition for technological innovation, focusing on bilingual talent, legal security, preparedness for investment, and a development model that integrates sustainability, progress, and social impact.
Additionally, the Costa Rican delegation has planned targeted investment promotion activities, which include one-on-one meetings with potential investors, visits to multinational firms already established in the country, and networking events with industry leaders from the tech and life sciences sectors. There will also be a visit to UK startup ecosystems to identify collaboration opportunities and knowledge transfer, underlining Costa Rica's commitment to open innovation and sustainable growth.
From an entrepreneurial perspective, London Tech Week presents a strategic opportunity to expand operations and forge connections with European tech leaders. Pablo Arroyo, General Director of WillDom Costa Rica, expressed, “London Tech Week is not just an inspiring space driven by innovations in artificial intelligence; it is an ideal platform to identify opportunities, understand global trends, and, most importantly, build human connections that can transform into strategic partnerships.”
With over 45,000 participants from 90 countries, London Tech Week is a critical stage for PROCOMER and essential COSTA RICA to amplify the country’s visibility as a robust, forward-looking economy with purpose. By participating in this prestigious event, Costa Rica aims to initiate long-term partnerships and investments, further solidifying its commitment to innovation and sustainability on a global scale.
