Subaru and Arbor Day Foundation Team Up to Distribute 65,000 Trees Across America

Subaru and Arbor Day Foundation Team Up for a Greener Tomorrow

Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) is once again partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation™ to launch an impactful tree distribution program as part of its annual 'Subaru Loves the Earth®' initiative. This year, they aim to give away 65,000 trees across nearly 600 Subaru retailers nationwide, marking a significant stride towards fostering healthier and greener environments in local communities.

The distribution will unfold throughout the 2026 tree planting season. Participating retailers will provide regionally appropriate trees, helping communities cultivate sustainable and vibrant spaces. The initiative invites customers to reserve a tree on a first-come, first-served basis via Arbor Day's website.

This effort isn’t just about giving away trees; it represents Subaru's ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community support. Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating that “trees are an essential part of our daily lives. We’re thrilled to contribute to a healthier future through our strong network of retailers.”

Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation aim to combat the concerning loss of trees in the U.S., where around 36 million trees fall victim to age, disease, infestation, and adverse weather conditions annually. Trees provide shade, improve air quality, regulate stormwater, and contribute to public health. Subaru posits that planting trees today not only enhances the environment but also benefits future generations.

In addition to the community tree distribution, Subaru is amplifying the 'Subaru Loves the Earth®' initiative through various marketing campaigns designed to engage the public. One such campaign is the Badge of Ownership program, which donates $1 to the Arbor Day Foundation for each environmentally themed badge purchased, with a maximum contribution of $2,000.

Moreover, as part of their Gifts for Good initiative, Subaru will plant one tree for every reusable Love-Encore gift bag returned with a prepaid shipping label, further reinforcing their commitment to sustainability.

The tree distribution events aim to provide a hands-on experience, where each participant can receive educational materials including one-pager guides and QR codes detailing the care requirements for the trees they plant. Tree distribution events are scheduled to run until May 16, 2026, ensuring that planting aligns with regional climates.

The collaborative effort is a manifestation of a larger commitment to environmental sustainability that Subaru has upheld through various philanthropic initiatives over the years. By planting trees and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation are reshaping communities while promoting ecological balance. Dan Lambe, CEO of the Arbor Day Foundation, reiterated their optimism, stating, “Working alongside Subaru for another year means we can reach even more communities and create positive change.”

People interested in participating can easily locate a Subaru retailer or learn more about the initiative through Subaru’s official website and the Arbor Day Foundation portal. It’s a simple yet impactful way for individuals to contribute to a healthier planet while enjoying the benefits of nature.

In conclusion, Subaru’s partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation signifies more than just a seasonal campaign; it’s a long-term commitment to environmental conservation and community well-being. By making tree planting accessible and engaging, they inspire individuals to take an active role in nurturing their local environments, ensuring that both flora and communities thrive together.
