Experience the Autumn Harvest Festival with Pomme d'Adam's Afternoon Tea
From October 1 to November 30, 2026, the Pomme d'Adam French restaurant on the 8th floor of Marunouchi Hotel, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, will offer a delightful afternoon tea celebrating the autumn harvest, featuring chestnuts and various fruits. Enjoy warm flavors of this seasons bounty through a collection of sweet and savory creations designed to reflect the cozy atmosphere of fall.
The afternoon tea showcases a rich assortment of sweets, including a marron terrine created with chestnut paste, mascarpone, and a hint of rum, delivering a smooth finish. Other highlights include butter sandwiches filled with chestnut-flavored buttercream mixed with rum-soaked raisins, as well as a rolled cake made with Earl Grey chocolate sponge, maroon cream, and syrup-poached chestnuts. Apples also play a vital role in this culinary celebration: caramelized with a touch of bitterness, paired with Mont Blanc cream, or layered in a dessert combining tart and sweet red apples as jelly with a white chocolate mousse. Additionally, a traditional French confection, pâte de fruit, is crafted using concentrated green apple puree, showcasing the delightful range of flavors in this vibrant season.
On the savory side, guests can savor arancini made with chestnuts, bacon, and cheese, and a warm dish of beef Bourguignon layered with potato puree and accented with crunchy chestnuts, a comforting nod to traditional French home cooking. There’s also a delightful chestnut and purple potato soup, topped with fluffy shaved chestnut. A creative salad featuring persimmons and smoked salmon trout further highlights the bountiful harvest through French-inspired pairings.
To make this experience one to remember, a special mini dessert called “Marron Chocolate Verrine” is available for an additional fee of 1,000 yen. This decadent treat layers syrupy chestnuts, Mont Blanc, and chocolate mousse with smooth custard cream and chocolate crumble, enhanced by the refreshing zing of raspberries, creating a rich but balanced finish.
