HARTING Integrates with NVIDIA MGX to Advance AI Infrastructure Development

HARTING Technology Group, a prominent name in industrial connectivity, has announced its partnership with the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem, marking a significant move in response to the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. As AI technologies evolve, so do the power requirements in data centers, leading to a paradigm shift in how electricity is managed and distributed.

On October 12, 2026, HARTING unveiled its role in this collaboration, specifically as a provider of power system components for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform. The company is set to introduce power whip solutions, which are specialized cable assemblies designed to efficiently distribute power from a central source to individual racks within data centers, a crucial aspect as AI models become increasingly demanding.

The transition from conventional power architecture to NVIDIA's newly introduced 800 VDC system demonstrates an evolution in power management. HARTING is facilitating this transition by supplying both a 100A/480VAC power whip intended for the existing 3RU 110kW power shelf and a forward-looking 157A/800 VDC DC-DC power whip, which will effectively connect the power grid to compute racks.

This strategic decision by HARTING highlights the critical role that AI plays in reshaping data center infrastructure. With the exponential growth of AI workloads, there is an urgent need for systems capable of handling greater power in confined spaces—without compromising on reliability, efficiency, or scalability. As Philip Harting, Chair of the Board and CEO, articulated, “AI is fundamentally changing data center infrastructure, and HARTING has the engineering expertise to help enable that transformation.”

The challenges posed by modern AI applications are diverse, necessitating comprehensive solutions that can maintain operational stability while enhancing power supply capabilities. HARTING’s extensive experience, particularly in high power environments across different sectors—from automotive to rail transportation—positions the company well to meet these challenges head-on.

Christian Gysin, the Chief Technology Officer at HARTING, emphasized the importance of rethinking power distribution in this new technological era.
