Highlights of Each Project:
- - Black River Falls Public Library aims to offset about 85% of its annual energy consumption through its solar installation. The library will also facilitate solar tours and educational events, helping to foster an understanding of renewable energy among residents.
- - Cornwall Public Library plans to implement a rooftop solar system, significantly cutting its energy usage. This project is an essential part of the library’s broader strategy for environmental stewardship and will serve as a visible example of sustainability in action for the community.
- - Newburgh Chandler Public Library is revitalizing a sustainability initiative that was once considered ahead of its time. This restoration not only reduces operating expenses but also enhances its commitment to community educational programs on environmental awareness.
- - Lupane State University Library is focusing on ensuring consistent energy access with a new solar and backup battery system. This innovation will support educational needs for students, researchers, and local community programs that rely on the library’s resources.
- - Dr. Karen Guinee Library at the University of Galway integrates sustainability into every facet of its planning, and solar power is pivotal to its vision. This initiative will support ambitious environmental targets while providing a state-of-the-art learning and research environment for future generations.
