Beko's 2025 Integrated Report Highlights Path to Net Zero Achievements

Beko’s Integrated Report 2025: A Sustainability Benchmark

Beko, a global leader in the home appliance market, has recently unveiled its Integrated Report for 2025. This document not only highlights the company's financial performance but also emphasizes its commitment to environmental and social governance (ESG) practices. With a focus on sustainability, Beko has made substantial progress towards achieving net zero emissions, as evidenced by its recognition as one of the World's Most Sustainable Companies by TIME Magazine for the third consecutive year.

Key Achievements in Sustainability

The Integrated Report reveals various statistics that shed light on Beko's commitment to reducing its environmental impact. In 2025, projects focused on energy efficiency across production plants saved an impressive 69,562 GJ of energy, effectively preventing the emission of 5,297 tons of CO₂ equivalent. Moreover, waste recycling rates reached an impressive 98.6%, just shy of the target of 99%. These metrics are significant as they validate Beko's systematic efforts to enhance its sustainability practices.

As part of its ongoing initiatives, Beko increased its installed renewable energy capacity to 96 MWp, demonstrating a solid step up from the previous year’s 90.2 MWp. The achievement of 63.5% green electricity usage across its production facilities shows Beko's advance towards its ambitious goal of reaching 100% by 2030.

Circular Economy Initiatives

Beko’s commitment to circular economy practices is equally commendable. Across various locations, its refurbishment centers successfully reintegrated over 148,000 appliances into the market in 2025 alone, upholding the company’s dedication to reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Furthermore, since 2014, Beko has recycled 1.98 million tons of electrical waste through its own recycling facilities, alongside utilizing 31,665 tons of recycled plastics in its products.

Transformative Production Models

In terms of production upgrades, Beko operates 13 smart factories globally, which enhance productivity and efficiency through the incorporation of artificial intelligence and robotics, aiming to increase this number to 17 by the end of 2026. Notably, three of Beko's production facilities have been recognized within the World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network, with the Ulmi plant earning the prestigious designation of Sustainability Lighthouse, further reinforcing Beko's industrial leadership in sustainable practices.

CEO’s Statement

Can Dinçer, the CEO of Beko, reflected on the recent acknowledgment from TIME, asserting that sustainability is a key pillar of Beko's business model. He reiterated that the ongoing dual transformation of decarbonization and digitalization within Beko is a result of thoughtful and measurable strategic initiatives. He stated, “As the world gears up for COP31, the most credible action a company can take is to demonstrate its efforts rather than merely declaring them.”

Conclusion

The 2025 Integrated Report signifies a pivotal moment for Beko as it exemplifies how an established company can lead in responsible and sustainable practices in today’s competitive market. With its comprehensive strategies aimed not only at enhancing business operations but also at benefitting the environment, Beko demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to global challenges. As consumers become increasingly aware of sustainability concerns, Beko's proactive measures will not only align with market demands but also serve as an industry benchmark for success.
