On December 7, 2024, Dr Pepper® made headlines by announcing the winners of its 16th annual Tuition Giveaway, an event dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education. As part of the exciting College Football Conference Championship games, four students each received a staggering $100,000 to help alleviate the financial burden of tuition costs.

The competition was fierce, with students throwing footballs into an oversized Dr Pepper can in a timed challenge. The winners from different conferences are:

Each winner expressed profound gratitude, with Christian, an aspiring veterinarian, sharing that the funds would significantly impact his education, enabling him to pursue his dream of becoming the first doctor in his family. Colleen, who is determined to make healthcare accessible, highlighted the emotional significance of winning, particularly after losing her father to a preventable illness last year. Her goal is to help others seek early medical care, and she emphasized how this award would change her life.
