TEAMFund's Annual Impact Report: A Year of Transformative Healthcare
On October 8, 2025, TEAMFund, a recognized 501(c)(3) Public Charity and a For-Profit Impact Fund dedicated to enhancing patient access to medical technology in underprivileged regions, unveiled its Annual Impact Report at The AdvaMed MedTech Conference held in San Diego. This year's report highlights an impressive achievement: TEAMFund’s seven portfolio companies – Jana Care, Forus Health, Tricog Health, MediBuddy, EchoNous, Vezeeta, and Qure.ai – collectively provided
38 million patient services, impacting the lives of
28 million unique patients over the past year.
During the conference, Tim Ring, TEAMFund's Co-Founder and former CEO of C.R. Bard, emphasized the upward trajectory of the organization, stating, "We are proud that our companies are now treating 28 million patients annually, representing a 50% increase compared to two years ago. This level of impact situates them within the top 15 to 20 MedTech firms globally, despite collectively generating less than 1% of their revenue. This accomplishment underscores the tremendous potential digital health and AI hold for patient care, particularly in low-resource environments."
TidalSense Shines with Global Health Innovation Award
In a notable highlight of the event, TEAMFund awarded its
Global Health Innovation Award to TidalSense, a pioneering platform focused on AI-driven respiratory diagnostics. Utilizing advanced CO₂ sensor technology, TidalSense is capable of delivering swift and precise diagnoses for respiratory ailments such as COPD and asthma. Its portable design enables timely intervention and ongoing patient monitoring in areas lacking access to specialized medical care and lab tests, significantly enhancing patient outcomes.
Dr. Ameera Patel, the visionary behind TidalSense, expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that this accolade marks TEAMFund's eighth award given to a female CEO.
Key Achievements from the Annual Impact Report
- - Cumulatively, TEAMFund has delivered 153 million patient services and served a total of 107 million unique patients.
- - A significant 71% of patients served were located in Africa or India.
- - Last year, 20,303 new providers received training, contributing to a cumulative total of over 119,500 trained professionals.
