Tencent's Landmark CarbonX 2.0 Program Reveals 50 Global Climate Solution Finalists



In a significant move towards combating climate change, Tencent has announced the 50 finalists of its CarbonX 2.0 program. This initiative is designed to identify and support cutting-edge climate solutions that can help achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Among a competitive pool of over 660 candidates from 54 countries and regions, these finalists emerge as innovators ready to tackle some of the pressing environmental challenges we face today.

A New Era of Climate Innovation


Tencent's CarbonX 2.0 program aims to accelerate the development of next-generation climate technologies, providing essential resources for innovators. This program is launched with a hefty budget of 200 million RMB (approximately 28 million USD) designated as catalytic funding to assist these finalists in refining and deploying their solutions effectively. Winners will also gain access to technical expertise, mentorship, and real-world testing opportunities in regions most vulnerable to climate change, including areas in Kenya, the Maldives, and Serbia.
