Floatmeal Brings Next-Gen Protein Source to Sustainable Food Museum with Special Pop-Up Event

Floatmeal Hosts Pop-Up at Sustainable Food Museum

Floatmeal, a startup based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, is creating waves in the sustainable food sector by participating in a one-month pop-up event at the Sustainable Food Museum, operated by Sustainable Food Asia (SFA) in Minato, Tokyo. This unique opportunity invites visitors to experience Floateal, a drink derived from Walffia, a type of water plant known for its high nutritional value. Scheduled for December 2025, this pop-up aims to provide a delicious and sustainable alternative for health-conscious consumers.

The pop-up initiative is part of SFA’s Sustainable Food Innovation Program (SFIP), which supports startups focused on sustainable food solutions with the goal of expanding into Southeast Asian markets. Each month, the Sustainable Food Museum collaborates with different companies to introduce unique, limited-time menus, allowing visitors to explore cutting-edge sustainable food products.

During Floatmeal’s pop-up, visitors will be able to taste the Floateal drink, carefully crafted to deliver a high concentration of nutrients in a convenient form. As modern life becomes increasingly hectic, the drink provides an easy way to incorporate essential nutrients into daily routines without sacrificing taste. Through this event, Floatmeal hopes to connect with potential partners for future collaboration in product development and manufacturing.
