Daniel Shamoon and Orange Limited Team Up for New Luxury Resort in Antigua

New Luxury Boutique Resort in Antigua

Daniel Shamoon, a prominent figure in the global hospitality sector, has announced an exciting partnership with Dutch entrepreneur Albert Hartog to develop a luxurious boutique resort at Pearns Point, located on Antigua's picturesque western peninsula. This venture promises to elevate the ownership experience within one of Antigua's most exclusive residential communities, providing top-tier accommodations and exceptional amenities.

Shamoon, also the co-owner of Luxury Hotel Partners and Small Luxury Hotels of the World, has garnered acclaim for creating some of the most iconic destinations in the luxury hospitality market. Meanwhile, Hartog, through his company, Orange Limited, has been instrumental in developing the Pearns Point site since its inception.

This new tropical resort will be situated in an idyllic setting surrounded by lush landscapes and pristine beaches. It will feature a select number of intimate resort accommodations as well as upscale turnkey villas available for purchase. The development aims to ensure that both resort guests and property owners will have access to world-class amenities, enhancing the allure of Pearns Point.

Resort and Residential Offerings

Covering a dramatic 160-acre peninsula, the resort will seamlessly blend into the existing Pearns Point community and offer stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Plans include the construction of 20 single-story suites and an additional 20 two-bedroom villas, all designed with panoramic vistas in mind. There are also plans for 36 nature-framed three- and four-bedroom villas, priced between $3 million and $6 million USD.

Residents and guests will benefit from an array of luxurious amenities such as a beach club accessible by boat and a signature restaurant that sources its ingredients from an organic farm. One of the standout features will be a state-of-the-art racquet club, complemented by an ocean-view spa and fitness center, along with a dedicated hub for water sports enthusiasts. Importantly, the design will respect public beach access while safeguarding the privacy of Pearns Point residents.

“I’m thrilled to partner with Albert Hartog to create a resort that feels deeply connected to Antigua’s rich island culture,” Shamoon stated, highlighting the intention to foster a thoughtful destination that enhances the existing community. The collaboration aims to combine sustainable design with genuine hospitality, intending to create an authentic sense of place for both visitors and residents.

Real Estate Appeal and Future Prospects

Pears Point's real estate offerings include a limited selection of beachfront, oceanfront, and elevated homesites starting at $2 million. There's an opportunity for owners to design bespoke residences with acclaimed architects and builders. The turnkey homes start from $4 million, while finished properties can go up to $20 million. Early sales have reportedly been strong, with 26 lots sold for a total of $50 million USD.

Furthermore, Shamoon and Hartog plan to develop two signature residences designed by James Hamilton Architects, reflecting the architectural quality and connection to nature that are fundamental to the Pearns Point ethos. This partnership aims to set a new benchmark for luxury living in the Caribbean while preserving the island’s natural beauty.

Albert Hartog emphasizes the significance of this collaboration, stating, “The partnership with Daniel Shamoon marks a crucial step in realizing our vision for Pearns Point, introducing a hospitality aspect that will enrich the experiences of current owners and attract international buyers.”

For over 30 years, Shamoon has built a reputation for crafting hospitality experiences marked by understated luxury and exceptional service, showcasing a commitment to creating destinations that resonate with visitors.

Situated near the bustling Jolly Harbour, Pearns Point offers easy access to Antigua's famed attractions, making it an ideal spot for discerning travelers.
