Furniture China and Maison Shanghai 2026 Conclude with Remarkable Success in Shanghai

The highly anticipated 31st International Furniture Expo in China, known as Furniture China 2026, along with Maison Shanghai 2026, culminated in remarkable success at Shanghai's Pudong from September 7 to 11, 2026. Organized by CNFA and IM Sinoexpo, these events attracted a staggering 180,448 visitors, including a record 37,394 international attendees. This year marked an impressive increase of 10.3% in visitor numbers, underscoring the expo's growing global significance.

Held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and the Shanghai World Expo and Convention Centre (SWEECC), the expos spanned an expansive 350,000 square meters across 50 exhibition halls. Featuring more than 3,200 brands and exhibitors, including prominent international players, the fairs showcased a comprehensive view of the furniture industry—from upholstered pieces and outdoor setups to office and commercial furniture, backed by cutting-edge materials and smart manufacturing techniques.

The participation of international visitors was notably robust, with foreign attendees increasing by 14.6%, comprising 53.82% from Asia (excluding the Middle East) and 21.26% from Europe, led by nations like South Korea, Russia, and Japan. The domestic attendance was also noteworthy, with 143,054 local visitors primarily from Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu. Notably, industry professionals, including buyers, designers, and institutions, accounted for over three-quarters of attendees, with many seeking suppliers and partners or gathering crucial market insights.

Furthermore, Furniture China 2026 positioned itself as a vital platform for sourcing, design, and innovation. This year, it featured over 1,000 global brands and suppliers, providing a holistic view of the entire furniture production value chain. The concurrent Maison Shanghai event expanded discussions surrounding design trends, lifestyle, and the future of living through curated exhibitions and unique design labels.

Throughout the week, networking services, forums, and award ceremonies facilitated the exchange of ideas and helped forge lasting partnerships beyond the exhibition halls. The organizers expressed their gratitude to all exhibitors, buyers, designers, and partners involved, citing their commitment as central to the success of this dynamic edition.

As the curtains fell on this year’s events, plans are already in motion for 2027, with the next edition of Furniture China and Maison Shanghai scheduled to return to Pudong, Shanghai from September 7 to 11, 2027. Visitors and participants can expect another inspiring week filled with opportunities centered around design, innovation, and shopping.
