In a bold move that underscores the evolving landscape of sports merchandising, Upper Deck, a leading name in sports and entertainment collectibles, announced an exclusive partnership with Sarah Fillier, a standout forward for the New York Sirens and the top overall selection in the 2024 PWHL Draft. This collaboration aims to highlight and accelerate the representation of women in the trading card industry, which has traditionally been male-dominated, particularly in professional hockey.

Sarah Fillier is no stranger to accolades; she has evolved into a prominent figure within women's hockey and a key player on Canada's National Women's Team. Her remarkable journey includes three world championships and a pivotal role in securing Canada’s gold medal at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, where she scored an impressive eight goals, including a hat trick against Sweden during the quarterfinals. Her collegiate career at Princeton was equally stellar, where she garnered multiple honors, such as the 2019 National Rookie of the Year.

An Exciting Partnership

This new agreement not only solidifies Fillier's status as a trailblazer but also aims to inspire a new generation of fans and collectors in North America. While announcing the partnership, Paul Zickler, the Director of Sports Brands at Upper Deck, stated, “Our collection with Sarah is just the start of what is to come for women in this industry. We are excited to memorialize the start of her PWHL career through Upper Deck trading cards and memorabilia.
