Innovative Electric Vehicle Fast-Charging Station Opens in Duiven with Integrated Energy Storage
Innovative Fast-Charging EV Station Opens in Duiven
A new high-performance electric vehicle (EV) charging station has officially debuted in Nieuwe Tijd, Duiven, marking a significant step in electric mobility. The event attracted industry leaders, international guests, and partners keen on advancing sustainable transport solutions.
State-of-the-Art Technology
At the core of the facility is the DV series 60 kW DC fast charger by Zerova, designed for rapid and reliable performance in public environments. This charger provides CCS2 ultra-fast charging with backend integration compatible with Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), ensuring smooth operations, remote monitoring, and scalable support. Key features include a user-friendly 7-inch display, RFID authentication, and advanced security functionalities, promising an intuitive and secure experience for all users.
To enhance grid resilience, the station employs ten energy storage units from BUIMA, each with a capacity of 4 kWh, amounting to a total of 40 kWh of local storage. This integrated setup helps manage demand spikes, stabilize energy supply, and alleviate stress on the local grid, facilitating smarter energy usage as EV adoption continues to rise.
Jay Yang, the Global CEO of Zerova, commented, "By combining our DV charger with BUIMA's modular energy storage system, this site exemplifies how smart infrastructure can render high-power charging both convenient for drivers and considerate toward the grid. This project in Duiven perfectly illustrates how collaboration can transform cutting-edge technology into viable, scalable solutions for everyday electric mobility."
Guests at the opening were able to witness firsthand the performance of the system, including significantly reduced charging times compared to AC charging, stable operation in varying conditions, and seamless interactions via the digital interface and RFID access. The energy storage solution also demonstrated how local buffering can maintain consistent charging performance even during demand peaks.
Baoxian Fei, the CEO and founder of Zemovi, remarked, "As the operator of this site, we are proud to provide Duiven with a charging solution that truly caters to the needs of today’s electric vehicle drivers."
The inauguration festivities included a traditional Chinese lion dance, symbolizing prosperity and success, followed by an exclusive Asian dinner, creating a memorable atmosphere for all attendees.
Harvey Chuang, President of the Buima Group, stated, "This opening marks an important milestone in the provision of smarter and more sustainable charging solutions. Together with our partners, we are building the future of mobility."
This initiative is not just a mere addition to the local EV infrastructure; it represents a forward-thinking approach towards a sustainable future, where the energy needs of electric vehicles are met with advanced technology and community collaboration. The successful launch of this charging station is an encouraging signal that the future of electric mobility is on the right path.
