Rockwood Capital Welcomes Jimmy Yung
Rockwood Capital, a distinguished private real estate investment firm, has just announced the appointment of Jimmy Yung as their new Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Originations. With a professional journey spanning over 27 years, Yung brings a wealth of experience in both the American and Asian real estate markets. His deep insights into investment strategies and extensive network of global relationships are expected to significantly enhance Rockwood's capabilities in sourcing and structuring compelling investment opportunities.
Located at Rockwood's Los Angeles office, Yung will report directly to Niraj Shah, the firm's partner and Global Head of Credit. His sharp investment acumen, vast knowledge of various credit products in commercial real estate, and a strong grasp of market dynamics will be instrumental for us. Yung's most recent position was at Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies, where he served as the Managing Director. Here, he managed the West Coast commercial real estate lending platform. Previously, he had pivotal roles at TPG Real Estate Finance Trust and Deutsche Bank, where he focused on real estate special situations. His educational credentials include a degree from Georgetown University and further studies in international economics and languages at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
