ChangAn Automobile's Vision for the Future
At the Auto Shanghai 2025 event, held from April 23 to May 2 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, ChangAn Automobile showcased its forward-thinking strategy under the motto "Together for a Smarter World." The company, recognized for its low-emission and intelligent mobility technologies, laid out three strategic pillars defining its future direction: the Shangri-La Mission focusing on new energy sources, the Dubhe Plan emphasizing smart solutions, and the Vast Ocean Project aimed at global expansion.
Evolution in Mobility
The Shangri-La Mission is poised to enhance ChangAn's product lineup over the next five years, with plans to launch 45 brand new models, including 37 vehicles powered by new energy sources. For 2025 alone, 20 new models are set to debut, among which are AVATR 06, DEEPAL S09, and CHANG-AN Q07. Through collaboration with CATL, the company is advancing electrolyte technologies and intensifying the development of semiconductor batteries. A prototype will be unveiled by the end of 2025, and installation trials are scheduled for 2026, paving the way for mass production in 2027. Additionally, ChangAn introduced an intelligent collision detection system and a fast-charging Kirin 4C battery.
Investment in AI and Autonomous Driving
As part of the 2.0 Dubhe Plan, ChangAn is set to invest 20 billion yuan over five years into the development of sophisticated artificial intelligence models and comprehensive driving assistance solutions. An additional 20 billion yuan will support advancements in low-altitude flight technologies, including flying cars. The company's intelligent driving systems like TS Drive, cockpit enhancements like TY Cockpit, and chassis upgrades such as TH Chassis are undergoing comprehensive modernization, with over 50 advanced functions to receive upgrades. Five versions of the TS Drive advanced driver assistance system will be tailored to meet diverse user needs, while the LiDAR PRO variant is expected to enter mass production by late 2025.
Global Expansion Goals
