Royal Air Maroc Enhances Connectivity with Nonstop Los Angeles-Casablanca Route

Royal Air Maroc Launches Nonstop Service

On June 7, 2026, Royal Air Maroc will inaugurate its first nonstop flight that bridges Los Angeles (LAX) to Casablanca (CMN). This landmark route signifies the establishment of the inaugural direct link between Africa and the U.S. Pacific Coast, facilitating an 11-hour journey and marking a significant advancement in the airline's long-haul network.

This new service operates three times a week, a response to the increasingly robust demand for intercontinental travel, particularly in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Catering to various travelers, the route aims to accommodate the Moroccan and African diasporas, American tourists, business travelers, and soccer enthusiasts journeying from Morocco, Africa, and Europe to partake in this grand international event.

Hamid Addou, the Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, highlighted, "This direct route to Los Angeles is a pivotal milestone for Royal Air Maroc and for air connectivity throughout Africa. It reflects our goal to bring Morocco closer to prominent global economic, tourism, and cultural hubs, while fostering the Kingdom's engagement on the world stage. As a vital player in the tourism sector, Royal Air Maroc enhances Morocco's visibility within the U.S., a crucial outbound travel market."

With the commencement of this service, Casablanca will further solidify its role as a critical hub connecting Africa, Europe, and the Americas. This launch aligns seamlessly with Royal Air Maroc's strategic development plan, which encompasses expanding its fleet, introducing new routes, and enhancing both international and domestic services.

The flights will be operated using the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, known for its comfort, performance, and innovative design. Passengers can expect the airline's long-haul service, featuring in-flight entertainment options and an overall comfortable travel experience.

Expanding the North American Network

This expansion further emphasizes Royal Air Maroc's commitment to increasing its presence in North America, where the airline already connects major destinations like New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, Montreal, and Toronto. Additionally, this new Los Angeles route bolsters the frequency of service across other long-haul gateways such as São Paulo and Dubai.

As part of its broader strategic vision, Royal Air Maroc aims to reaffirm its leadership in African aviation while reinforcing Morocco's status as a global travel hub, anticipating the co-hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2030 alongside Spain and Portugal.
