Experience the Exciting MoonSwatch Tour at Tobu Utsunomiya Department Store!

MoonSwatch Tour at Tobu Utsunomiya Department Store

The highly anticipated MoonSwatch Tour is set to unfold at the Tobu Utsunomiya Department Store in Tochigi Prefecture on the weekend of November 29-30. This unique event allows fans and watch enthusiasts to dive into the captivating world of the `Bioceramic MoonSwatch` collection through a special road trip initiative by Swatch, made in collaboration with OMEGA.

For over 65 years, Tobu Utsunomiya has built a solid reputation as a trusted department store, blending fashion, lifestyle, and culture in a central location accessible directly from Tobu Utsunomiya Station. Throughout the two-day event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the intriguing universe of MoonSwatch and possibly encounter models like `1965`, `EARTHPHASE`, and `MOONPHASE`, which have not been featured in previous tours. The exact models available will remain a mystery until the event day, offering a delightful surprise for visitors.

The `Bioceramic MoonSwatch` collection is a remarkable fusion of OMEGA’s innovative design—embodying the spirit of the iconic Speedmaster Moonwatch, which commemorated humanity's journey to the moon—and the creative vision of Swatch. Each clock face is named after celestial bodies, including the sun, moon, and planets, capturing an extraordinary design narrative that has captivated audiences worldwide since its launch in 2022.

Given the exclusive nature of this collection, it is available only at select Swatch stores in Japan and is not sold online, providing a rare opportunity for fans to experience it firsthand through the MoonSwatch Tour.

The tour features a retro `FIAT 500`, a classic car born in the same year as the OMEGA Speedmaster in 1957, showcasing the charm of the MoonSwatch collection as it travels across various regions. Since its launch from Swatch headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland in the summer of 2022, the tour has visited diverse locales and areas without a dedicated Swatch store.

What is MoonSwatch?

The `Bioceramic MoonSwatch` collection is an homage to the legendary `OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch`, designed with Swatch's unique perspective on the charm of celestial bodies. Launched in 2022, it has evolved into a lifestyle icon, transcending the traditional boundaries of timekeeping.

With its innovative approach and design, the MoonSwatch collection continues to mesmerize audiences worldwide. The Bioceramic used in this collection is a patented material developed by Swatch, blending two-thirds high-end ceramict and one-third bio-based material from castor oil. This unique combination provides a silky matte finish, durability, and an incredibly comfortable wearing experience.

Since its founding in 1983, Swatch has significantly impacted the watch industry with striking designs that reflect contemporary trends. With a commitment to delivering surprises through regular releases and special collections, Swatch remains a beloved and trusted brand, engaging actively with the worlds of action sports, art, and music, and championing bold and innovative thinking.
