SOLV Energy's Strategic Growth in Solar Operations and Maintenance Sector.

SOLV Energy's Bold Expansion in Solar and Storage Operations

In a notable shift within the renewable energy sector, SOLV Energy has reinforced its position as a key player in solar operations and maintenance. Announced during the SolarPlaza Asset Management North America (AMNA) 2025 conference held in San Diego, SOLV Energy revealed its selection by asset owners for operations and maintenance (OM) services covering an impressive 4.8 gigawatts (GW) of solar projects, a significant leap since the previous AMNA conference in 2024.

Major Collaborations and New Ventures

The newly secured projects include collaborations with both established clients such as Intersect Power and SB Energy, and newcomers to their portfolio like Greenalia and Matrix Renewables. SOLV Energy’s commitment extends beyond routine maintenance; they are enhancing their aftermarket and technical service capabilities, marked by several recent contracts for repairs and remediation on large-scale projects primarily in Texas and California.

SOLV Energy now oversees more than 17 GW of utility-scale solar and storage projects in North America. Their extensive OM service offerings encompass plant management, performance monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, and vegetation management for both projects developed by SOLV Energy and those built by third-party entities.

Comprehensive Service Offerings

Their suite of value-added services is meticulously designed to optimize the performance of customer assets. These include:
  • - NETA-compliant acceptance and maintenance testing, ensuring state-of-the-art upkeep and upgrades for high-voltage equipment.
  • - In-house SCADA solutions, augmented by retrofitting with widely used products already operational at over 18 GW of sites nationwide.
  • - Dedicated Tech Training and Performance Engineering, backed by experienced Safety Managers.
  • - Standard contract provisions include availability guarantees.
  • - Continuous remote monitoring and control from a 24/7 NERC-compliant Operations and Control Center located in San Diego, which currently manages over 140 sites.

Additionally, SOLV Energy responds swiftly to emergencies, handling repairs or replacements of major components like inverters, EBOS (Electrical Balance of System components), and modules due to equipment failures, recalls, or weather-related damages. They are also capable of repowering services, supported by a nationwide network of construction teams.

A Long-Term Collaborative Approach

SOLV Energy emphasizes a life-cycle approach in their operations, aiming to be a long-term partner to its clients. This strategic focus allows them to leverage operational data and experiences to support customers in designing projects, selecting appropriate equipment, and establishing integrated systems that maximize energy generation while minimizing downtime.

George Hershman, CEO of SOLV Energy, underlined, “Working with SOLV grants our clients access to a robust team that not only leads in OM services but also offers insights and options for boosting project performance through ongoing collaboration with our EPC, commissioning, and SCADA teams.”

Moreover, attendees at the SolarPlaza AMNA Conference on April 23 and 24 will have the opportunity to engage with members of the SOLV Energy team. Notably, Jaya Mallineni, a Performance Engineering Manager at the company, is set to participate in a panel focused on strategies for monitoring and addressing poor DC system performance on Thursday, April 24, at 11:15 AM PT.
