On November 1, 2025, join us at Moritown (Akishima City, Tokyo) for an enchanting event titled "Draw Your Shining Constellations! Stargazing Lantern Workshop and Observation." This event is proudly supported by Vixen Co., Ltd., a renowned optical instrument manufacturer based in Tokorozawa, Saitama.

A Getaway for Young Stargazers

The event promises to be a whimsical adventure for children aged 6 to 12, nurturing their creativity and love for the stars. Vixen, upholding its vision of showcasing the beauty of the night sky, has planned this initiative to provide an engaging experience that mixes art and astronomy, known as the 'Sora Project.'

Lantern Workshop

The heart of this event features a lantern-making workshop. Participants will create their personalized star-themed lanterns using tracing paper to draw their favorite constellations and designs. Once assembled, the lanterns light up to project the beautiful drawings, resulting in a unique creation that can illuminate their homes or be a magical centerpiece for evening gatherings. The workshop will take place at the Light Plaza on the first floor of Moritown's East Building with various time slots:

• - 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM
• - 11:30 AM to 12:20 PM
• - 12:30 PM to 1:20 PM
• - 1:30 PM to 2:20 PM
• - 2:30 PM to 3:20 PM

Participants must present receipts totaling 1,000 yen or more from Moritown shops (certain exclusions apply) alongside their registration to the official Moritown LINE account to participate. Limited to 20 participants per session, an adult guardian must accompany those younger than elementary school age.

Stargazing Observation

After the lantern workshop, attendees can partake in a stargazing observation session from 6 PM to 8 PM, where they will have the opportunity to use Vixen telescopes to explore the beauty of the moon, Saturn, and various constellations in the autumn night sky. This special experience does not require participation in the lantern workshop, making it an inviting event for everyone, regardless of previous participation. Guardians should accompany children below middle school age.
