JetB Introduces AI Avatar System for Enhanced Customer Service at OWNDAYS Stores Nationwide

JetB Corporation, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is embarking on an innovative venture in collaboration with OWNDAYS, a leading eyewear brand. Beginning March 1, 2025, they will jointly conduct a nationwide experimental rollout of 'Uchi no AI Avatar', an automated customer service SaaS aimed at enhancing service for foreign customers.

Pilot Implementation of AI Avatar

The initiative initially started with a limited trial run at two OWNDAYS locations: the Akihabara Radio Kaikan store in Tokyo and the Shinsaibashi store in Osaka. Throughout the pilot phase, adjustments and analyses were performed to expand the program gradually. The first phase began with these two stores in March 2025, followed by an expansion in April to include the Akihabara store, as well as stores in Toranomon Hills (Tokyo), Korinbo (Ishikawa), and others.

By June 2025, further enhancements and modifications were made to the participating stores, eventually leading to a holistic national implementation by October 2025. This ambitious initiative aims to integrate 'Uchi no AI Avatar' into a total of 49 OWNDAYS stores nationwide, significantly improving communication with foreign visitors.

Enhancing Customer Experience

The key benefits of integrating 'Uchi no AI Avatar' include answering crucial inquiries like, 'How many days until I receive my glasses?' or 'Can my purchase be delivered to my hotel?'. The AI avatar aims to provide seamless interactions in-store, making it easier for foreign customers to navigate their shopping experience. Additionally, the software allows staff to review conversation histories, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity in customer service.

This innovative tool is designed to simplify and enhance the customer experience while also reducing the workload on store staff. As a consequence, OWNDAYS anticipates not just an elevated shopping experience for inbound customers but also a reduction in operational overhead.

Nationwide Expansion Plan

After six months of successful trials, the ambitious plan to roll out 'Uchi no AI Avatar' across 49 selected OWNDAYS locations has been set into motion. Some key locations include:
  • - Hokkaido: Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo North Hills, Sapporo PIA, PIVOT CROSS
  • - Tokyo: Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Ueno, and multiple others
  • - Osaka: Namba Walk, Osaka Station City, and more
