Novva Data Centers Unveils New Tahoe Reno Data Center Facility Enhancing Technological Infrastructure

Novva Data Centers Launches Tahoe Reno Data Center

On July 8, 2025, Novva Data Centers announced the grand opening of its latest state-of-the-art facility in Storey County, Nevada, known as the Tahoe Reno Data Center. Covering an impressive 300,000 square feet and boasting a capacity of 60 megawatts (MW), this facility is strategically situated in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), which is recognized as one of the world's largest industrial parks and is conveniently located along Interstate 80, just outside Reno.

Since acquiring the land in 2022, Novva has been eagerly anticipating the completion of this cutting-edge data center, which now stands as the company's fourth operational facility. The new site joins existing facilities in Colorado Springs, Colorado; West Jordan, Utah; and North Las Vegas, Nevada. Notably, Novva is also expanding its footprint, with plans for additional data centers in cities like San Francisco and Mesa, Arizona, as well as in Las Vegas and Utah.

One of the key highlights of this new facility is Novva's commitment to sustainability. The Tahoe Reno Data Center incorporates several innovative, energy-efficient designs. The facility aims to secure local renewable energy credits and uses an advanced cooling system that eliminates the need for water while employing a direct-to-chip cooling technique. Also, it features radiant heating and cooling in office spaces, along with LED lighting that automatically deactivates when unnecessary.

Promoting an eco-friendly environment, Novva designed the campus with drought-resistant landscaping and utilized locally sourced materials for its exterior. Moreover, the facility's impact on local soil import and export has been minimized to compose with Novva's strict energy-efficiency requirements.

Wes Swenson, the founder and CEO of Novva Data Centers, expressed his enthusiasm about the new launch, stating, "We're excited to introduce our latest tech-forward facility, Novva Tahoe Reno, which embodies the core pillars our clients expect from Novva: cutting-edge innovation, robust security, sustainable design, and exceptional amenities." He further emphasized the strategic significance of Storey County, mentioning its emerging status as a technology hub, accessibility to renewable energy, and appealing tax incentives, which collectively facilitate Novva's growth in the Western U.S.
