Exciting New Noodle Fair Launches in Kyushu with Unique Flavors!

Kyushu Noodle Fair: A Culinary Journey Begins

FamilyMart, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the launch of the 4th edition of the Kyushu Noodle Fair, showcasing the rich and diverse noodle culture of this region. With a commitment to bringing local flavors to the forefront, the fair will feature two new delectable offerings starting December 9, 2025. This initiative is part of FamilyMart's aim to create joy and excitement for its customers under the motto ‘Something special for you.’

Featured Dishes: A Taste of Kyushu

The two noodle dishes set to tantalize taste buds are the “Slippery and Chewy Spicy Egg Soup Noodle” priced at 510 yen (550 yen tax included), and “Maruni Miso Ramen (Large)”, priced at 593 yen (640 yen tax included). These dishes will be available in approximately 1,500 FamilyMart stores across the Kyushu region (including Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima) and parts of Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Experience Local Flavors

The Kyushu Noodle Fair is designed to bring customers closer to their local food culture. Since September, FamilyMart has been showcasing the variety of regional noodle cuisines, introducing new items every month. This collaborative event with the Southern Kyushu FamilyMart aims to enhance the experience of regional customer engagement and showcase the amazing noodle creations of Kyushu.

For this fourth edition, the focus is on texture and flavor. The “Slippery and Chewy Spicy Egg Soup Noodle” features noodles crafted through a unique process that ensures a delightful, chewy texture. Paired with a savory chicken broth enriched with minced pork and garlic and topped with flavorful egg jelly, this dish promises to deliver a satisfying and spicy experience.

Maruni Miso Ramen: Tradition Meets Modern Flavors

The second offering, “Maruni Miso Ramen (Large),” is created in collaboration with Maruni Miso, a renowned miso producer celebrating over 120 years in business. Located in Kagoshima’s Satsuma Sendai, Maruni Miso is famous for its naturally sweet barley miso, a cherished ingredient in local cuisine. According to Yuki Shinomiya, the Head of Maruni Miso Ramen, the new ramen is based on their signature miso ramen, carefully crafted to enhance the flavor profile with the addition of white shredded negi (green onion) for added texture and freshness.

This ramen is prepared with curly noodles complemented by a rich miso broth made from Maruni barley-malted miso. Topped with a delicious array of ingredients, including bean sprouts, cabbage, menma (bamboo shoots), meat soboro (ground meat), and katsuobushi (bonito flakes), this dish is not just a meal but an homage to the rich culinary heritage of Kyushu. Loaded with 300 grams of noodles, this large portion guarantees a hearty and fulfilling dining experience.

Special Promotions and Digital Engagements

To celebrate this special launch, FamilyMart is offering a limited-time promotion. Customers purchasing any of the featured dishes along with Ito En's “Ooi Ocha Ko–ku Kaoru Hojicha (600ml)” using the FamilyMart app will receive 100 yen worth of FamilyMart points as a reward.

Additionally, FamilyMart is bringing local flavors to life with an exclusive 15-second promotional video to be aired in stores across Kyushu (excluding Okinawa). The promotion will run from December 9 to December 22, 2025, aiming to increase the visibility of these unique culinary offerings.

With its commitment to community and customer satisfaction, FamilyMart is not just a convenience store but a part of the everyday lives of its customers in Kyushu.
