Equator Coffees Expands National Presence with Cold Brew in Major Grocery Chains

Equator Coffees Takes Cold Brew to the National Stage

Equator Coffees, renowned for its dedication to sustainability and premium quality, has recently announced an expansive rollout of its ready-to-drink cold brew options. This Californian coffee company has made significant strides by introducing its beverages to an impressive array of locations, including all 526 Whole Foods Market, 467 Sprouts stores, and 476 Kroger outlets across brands like Ralph's, Fred Meyer, QFC, King Soopers, and Smith's. With this distribution network, Equator is set to be featured in over 2,500 stores nationwide.

As the appetite for cold brew coffee continues to grow, particularly for regenerative organic and decaffeinated varieties, Equator is poised to cater to this demand by launching three new 42 oz. multi-serve options alongside six 8.5 oz. single serve formats. Notably, the Smooth Black and Perfectly Sweet multi-serve options are pioneering the market as the first nationally distributed Regenerative Organic Certified® cold brews. This marks another milestone for Equator as it celebrates its 30-year legacy in the coffee industry, obtaining admiration from both coffee aficionados and environmentally conscious consumers.

In terms of product offerings, Whole Foods will feature six different SKUs, including the three multi-serve options priced at $9.99 each for Smooth Black and Perfectly Sweet, and $10.99 for Simply Decaf. Additionally, some of Equator’s top-selling single serve coffees, such as Espresso Roast, Velvet Mocha, and Oat Milk Latte, are also available at Whole Foods for $4.99 each. Meanwhile, shoppers at Sprouts can find single serve Oat Milk Latte and Hint of Vanilla, while Kroger will carry the multi-serve Smooth Black and Perfectly Sweet.

Helen Russell, Co-founder and Executive Chair of Equator, expressed excitement about this national expansion, stating that cold brew has always been a fundamental aspect of Equator’s story. By collaborating with grocery giants like Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Kroger, the company aims not only to enhance its distribution but also to extend an invitation for more consumers to experience the quality and craftsmanship inherent in Equator's products.

Equator’s cold brews are meticulously crafted using just a handful of ingredients: high-quality coffee sourced and roasted by Equator itself, organic milks, cane sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla—ensuring a clean and delightful beverage with nothing unnecessary added. With these partnerships, Equator aims to introduce its unique cold brew offerings to a wider audience, catering to everyone from commuters seeking a quick pick-me-up to shoppers looking for a refreshing treat while in-store, and positioning its products as a healthier alternative to sugary energy drinks.

Through this expansion, Equator Coffees continues to demonstrate that it is possible to scale specialty coffee production responsibly and sustainably. It remains steadfast in its mission: promoting the belief that drinking good coffee indeed leads to good things. Customers interested in further exploring Equator’s offerings are encouraged to visit their website or social media channels for more information, including images and promotional material related to their new cold brews. With such promising developments, the future of Equator Coffees in the cold brew market looks exceptionally bright.
