Nauru Government Tourism Office Revives Nauru x Aogashima Comparison Badges

The Nauru Government Tourism Office has announced the return of its popular Nauru x Aogashima comparison badges, priced at 980 yen (including tax and shipping). This initiative aims to foster a sense of connection with the Republic of Nauru by allowing individuals to compare the sizes of Nauru Island and Aogashima. The project also seeks to elevate Aogashima's recognition and contribute to the promotion of local souvenirs.

Nauru, a small island nation located in the Pacific Ocean, is participating in the Osaka-Kansai Expo, where it has set up a pavilion showcasing its culture and tourism offerings. The tourism office is working diligently alongside the Nauru pavilion to increase awareness of the Republic of Nauru within Japan.

In a bid to promote both Nauru and local regions in Japan, the Nauru Government is exploring various merchandising options. A partnership with Tottori Prefecture to sell comparison badges is on the horizon in light of an agreement established during the Expo.
