About the Program
The GS-JTI is designed for students and recent graduates specializing in
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, including information technology, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors. Internship Format
The program offers both
in-person internships in Japan and

1.5 months between
September 2026 and February 2027, while online internships will run for about one month during the same timeline.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. Specialized in STEM fields such as computer science, artificial intelligence, or semiconductors.
2. Currently enrolled at a university or graduated within the last three years.
3. Fluency in English at a professional level.
4. Be a citizen of a country listed by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (excluding the People’s Republic of China).
5. Reside outside Japan at the time of application.
