New Visions for the Future


On May 22, 2025, the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair commenced in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, aiming for new heights in industrial collaboration and trade potential.
The event, themed "New Visions for the Future," is attracting over 15,000 professionals from 72 different countries and regions, highlighting the fair's global significance. Import purchase intentions from the CEEC countries are anticipated to exceed 10 billion yuan, setting a promising stage for international commerce and exchange.

The expo covers an impressive 80,000 square meters, featuring distinct sections: the CEEC exhibition zone and the export consumer goods zone. Covering 20,000 square meters, the CEEC zone is home to more than 400 exhibitors presenting over 8,000 unique products. Highlights include Czech beer, Slovenian honey, Hungarian down products, and Slovenian ski gear. The export consumer goods zone showcases over 1,000 Chinese enterprises, unveiling high-quality consumer goods and smart technologies that aim to captivate global buyers with an immersive showcase of modern innovations.

Throughout the expo, numerous events will facilitate business interactions and exchanges between participants. Activities such as business matching sessions and intergovernmental meetings underscore the fair’s commitment to fostering partnerships. Notable conferences include the China-CEEC Joint Chamber of Commerce Meeting and the 7th China-CEEC Dialogue on Customs, Inspection, and Quarantine Cooperation, each aimed at aligning regulatory standards and enhancing trade efficiency.

Among the notable side events, the 2025 China-CEEC Mayors Forum will focus on innovative approaches to urban governance. Furthermore, attendees can look forward to the China-Central and Eastern Europe International Regatta, an initiative to encourage people-to-people exchanges across the participating nations. For a more engaging experience, the "Hi-Go" CEEC Product Shopping Festival will be organized in a hybrid format, blending online and offline interactions for a dynamic shopping experience.

This year, Slovenia and Slovakia hold the prestigious title of Guests of Honor, reinforcing the fair's collaborative spirit. All 14 CEEC representatives are participating, along with first-time exhibitors from nine other countries, including the UK, France, and Germany. The event has also garnered attention from institutions like the World Bank and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, as well as leading enterprises like Sanofi, Novartis, and Morgan Stanley.

Looking forward, the Expo aspires to unlock new growth avenues and deepen cooperation among nations. By establishing a regularized exchange mechanism, it aims to seize the emerging opportunities presented by industrial transformation and investment potential.
