Connecting Hearts to Noto: The Launch of ANA's Second Volunteer Tour
ANA X Corporation is proud to announce the launch of the second edition of its unique volunteer tour titled "Noto Recovery Volunteer Tour II: Connecting Hearts to Noto." This initiative aims to support the recovery of Noto, a region that has faced significant challenges due to recent natural disasters. The tour is organized in collaboration with the ANA Group's employee proposal system, focusing on what can be done now for the community of Noto.
This second wave follows the success of the inaugural tour held in April, which departed from Kansai International Airport and attracted 30 participants. Building on this positive response, the new tour is set to utilize regular flights from Haneda Airport, making it possible for participants from the Kanto region and across Japan to easily join this meaningful experience.
Purpose of the Tour
The primary aim of the Noto Recovery Volunteer Tour is to engage participants in hands-on volunteer activities within the affected areas of Noto, enhancing community support while also providing an opportunity for personal growth and reflection. For many, this tour might be their first experience with volunteering, and the ANA team is dedicated to ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and well-supported throughout their journey.
Volunteer Activities Highlighted in the Tour
Throughout the tour, participants will actively contribute to various volunteer activities designed to assist those in need in the Noto Peninsula. Some of these activities include:
- - Helping with disaster relief efforts, such as clearing debris, assisting families in temporary housing, and reinforcing community facilities.
- - Participating in a ride on the "Noto Railway Storyteller Train," where participants will listen to firsthand accounts from disaster survivors while enjoying beautiful scenic views.
- - Engaging in a traditional Wajima-nuri experience by creating unique lacquer chopsticks, connecting with the rich cultural heritage of Noto.
- - Visiting the Noto Shokusai Market to enjoy a range of delicious local products and souvenirs, encapsulating the essence of the region.
- - Exploring the Noto Winery, which specializes in wines that reflect the local climate and soil, and learning about the vineyard’s journey through recovery.
Additional Components of the Tour
In addition to the volunteer activities, the tour is structured to include cultural experiences and sightseeing, allowing participants to better appreciate what Noto has to offer. This blend of volunteering and leisure is designed to foster a deeper connection to the land and its people.
The Impact of the Initiative
By facilitating travel for supporters and tourists, this initiative plays a crucial role in the revitalization of Noto. Participants will not only contribute to ongoing recovery efforts but will also gain insights into the resilience of the local communities, ensuring that the experiences and lessons learned from past disasters are not forgotten.
