Boston's Architectural Showcase: 2025 Harleston Parker Medal Finalists
The Boston Society for Architecture (BSA) has unveiled four outstanding finalists for the prestigious 2025 Harleston Parker Medal. This annual award, established in 1921 to honor Boston architect J. Harleston Parker, celebrates the most aesthetically pleasing architectural achievements built in the Boston metropolitan area over the past decade.
The judging panel comprises a diverse group of experts, including architects, designers, artists, and public planners, who assess each nominated structure based on its beauty and design impact. However, this year, the BSA is also inviting the public to participate in the selection process through the People's Choice Award, allowing residents to express their appreciation for architectural beauty.
Voting is open until January 31, and the winners will be announced at the BSA Awards gala on March 5. The People's Choice Award and the juried Harleston Parker Medal winner will celebrate excellence in architecture and design during this exciting event.
Last year's People's Choice Award was earned by the Harvard University District Energy project, designed by Leers Weinzapfel Associates. The Harleston Parker Medal, on the other hand, went to the Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library, designed by Utile, Inc.
