Experience the Transformative Winter Harmony Camp 2026 in Niigata

Winter Harmony Camp 2026: A Unique Experience

Global Learner’s Institute (GLI) is excited to announce detailed information about the upcoming Winter Harmony Camp 2026, set to take place from January 10 to 12 in the picturesque Iwahana region of Niigata, Japan. This three-day camp offers an extraordinary opportunity for students to cultivate their intellect and international perspectives through a unique blend of education and nature.

Program Overview

The camp will provide enriching experiences designed to enhance essential skills such as English proficiency, scientific thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, all in a natural setting. This year's theme is “Harmony”, encapsulating the integration of language, science, and skiing into a cohesive learning experience.

1. Objectives of the Camp

During this winter camp, participants will be able to:
  • - Improve their English skills through immersive experiences
  • - Engage in scientific exploration and inquiry
  • - Develop teamwork and cooperative skills
  • - Strengthen their problem-solving abilities
  • - Enhance their expression and communication skills

This camp is not just an event; it’s an opportunity that lays the groundwork for future international pathways.

Daily Schedule and Activities

DAY 1: Arrival and Ski Lessons

On January 10, students will gather at Tokyo Station and take the Shinkansen to Iwahana. Upon arrival, participants will engage in an orientation to understand the camp's objectives and rules. The day will culminate in a 5-hour English skiing lesson led by experienced foreign instructors who will provide nurturing guidance, even for beginners.

DAY 2: Skiing and Artistic Collaboration

January 11 is dedicated to a full day of skiing, starting from 8 AM until dinner. This year, students will tackle the synchronized skiing formation, where groups will creatively plan and execute movements on the snow, embodying the art of intellect. This project-based activity will naturally foster collaboration, creativity, and dialogue, all conducted in English.

DAY 3: Scientific Inquiry

On the final day, January 12, participants will engage in a science experience where they’ll create artificial snow and scientifically compare it to natural snow. This inquiry-based learning process, driven by the question “Why?”, will stimulate their intellectual curiosity and enhance their scientific thinking skills.
