MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 Kids Kyushu Qualifiers Report
On December 13, 2025, the MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 KIDS KYUSHU CLIMAX took place at VooDooLounge, marking a significant event in Japan’s dance culture. Organized by Anomaly Inc., led by CEO Kantaro Kanda, this event represents one of the various preliminary rounds contributing to the largest solo dance battle—MyNavi DANCEALIVE.
What is MyNavi DANCEALIVE?
Launched in 2005 in Japan, DANCE@LIVE has evolved into the biggest street dance battle worldwide, featuring a competitive 1-on-1 format. Dancers perform improvised moves to music curated by DJs, with only the DJ knowing the tracks in advance, allowing for intense, spontaneous performances. The competition's ultimate aim is to secure the highest number of votes from judges.
The event comprises six categories, divided into various styles: HOUSE, BREAKING, HIPHOP, ALL STYLES, and POPPING, collectively known as GENERAL. Additionally, there is a special KIDS category for dancers under middle school age competing in ALL STYLES battles. Nationwide preliminaries bring together dancers from eight regions including Hokkaido, Tohoku, Hokuriku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, and Kyushu to vie for a coveted spot in the final competition held every April.

KIDS Category Details

To qualify for the final competition, participants accumulate points based on their performance in regional qualifiers. The top two from each area, alongside two WILDCARD winners determined on the eve of the finals, will advance to compete in the tournament format at the FINAL.
WILDCARD Selection
The WILDCARD battle happens the day before the finals, inviting the third-place dancers from each region. It's essential for participants to reside in their designated region and have not graduated to be eligible. In the event of point ties among dancers, more than one may receive a chance to proceed, ensuring fairness and inclusivity in this exhilarating competition setup.
Overall, the MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 sets the stage for an electrifying showcase of skill, creativity, and hard work exemplified by the youth of Japan. As the dance battle scene continues to grow, so does the passion of its participants. Keep an eye out for future events and get ready to support these incredible young dancers as they prepare for the finals in April 2026!
