DE SANTIS Makes Its Debut in Japan
Located in Harajuku, the famous Italian panini shop,
DE SANTIS, has finally made its way to Japan through a collaboration with the stylish café
FORU. This exciting event marks a significant milestone as it brings authentic Milanese flavors to Japanese food enthusiasts from April 2025 for a limited time. With over 60 café outlets managed by the
Cafe Company nationwide, this collaboration aims to introduce the essence of Italian culinary culture while fostering a creative dining community.
The Story Behind the Collaboration
The partnership between
Cafe Company and
FORU is rooted in the philosophy of connecting cultures and people through food. With the aim of promoting quality culinary experiences and supporting vibrant lifestyle spaces, this collaboration reflects a commitment to enriching the urban food culture. This partnership wouldn't have come to fruition without the efforts of
MMyWorld, an initiative focused on linking global food businesses with local communities to enhance culinary enjoyment and promote cultural exchange.
DE SANTIS, which has delighted patrons in Milan for nearly six decades, perfectly complements
FORU, known for its unique interpretation of modern café culture in Harajuku—the heart of trendy Tokyo. Together, they create an extraordinary culinary experience that merges tradition with contemporary flair, offering patrons delightful surprises and moments of joy in their daily lives.
Introducing the Collaboration Menu
The partnership proudly presents a limited-edition menu featuring
seven types of unique panini and
canapés, each a distinct representation of Italian flavors. These special items are inspired by Italian names—such as the

The panini menu includes:
- - RONNY (¥1,480): Prosciutto Crudo, Brie cheese, Mozzarella, White Truffle Butter, Lemon, Black Pepper
- - MAURIZIO (¥1,280): Prosciutto Cotto, Porcini Mushrooms, Mozzarella, Cocktail Sauce
- - DORALICE (¥1,480): Mortadella, Fontina Cheese, Tomatoes, Oregano, Salt
- - DERBY (¥1,200): Salami, Brie Cheese, Artichokes, Oil-Preserved Dried Tomatoes

For those looking for a lighter fare, the
TODAY’S CANAPE selections showcase traditional Italian cuisine done in the form of open sandwiches. These are available in various sets, and their toppings may vary, making every visit unique.
This collaboration not only features traditional Italian dishes but also pays homage to the Italian culture of
Aperitivo, with special wine pairing options for a complete culinary experience. Each dish is crafted under the guidance of expert chefs, following authentic Italian recipes while accommodating local tastes with high-quality Japanese bread.
