Julien's Auctions Unveils Princess Diana's Iconic Style and Royal Collection

Princess Diana's Style and Royal Collection Auction

Julien's Auctions proudly announces a groundbreaking sale titled “Princess Diana's Style and Royal Collection” scheduled for June 26, 2025, at the luxurious Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel. Registration and bidding are already open on the official auction website, juliensauctions.com.

This remarkable auction will showcase over 300 exceptional items, featuring iconic outfits worn by Princess Diana, many of which have never been available for sale before. Among the standout pieces is the 1986 Catherine Walker Falcon evening gown, valued between $200,000 to $300,000, alongside an enchanting floral motif day dress by Bellville Sassoon from 1988, a three-piece Escada suit, and her striking scarlet HEAD ski jumpsuit.

In addition to these garments, the auction will include shoes, handbags, and accessories, such as a peach-colored hat designed by John Boyd from 1981, famously seen during her honeymoon, and the classic Lady Dior handbag crafted from lambskin.

Moreover, the auction will feature previously unseen costume designs and personal items belonging to the British royal family, including tributes to Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret, the Queen Mother, and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Key items include a fashion sketch by Norman Hartnell portraying Princess Margaret, an antique diamond and natural pearl bracelet, and a Givenchy gown once owned by the Duchess of Windsor.

Renowned British designer Elizabeth Emanuel, celebrated for co-designing Diana's 1981 wedding dress, will contribute selected personal memorabilia and sketches. Emanuel expresses her honor to share these cherished memories, stating, “Diana's timeless beauty and style continue to inspire.” Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Diana-related items will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy UK, honoring her philanthropic legacy.

Julien's Auctions has previously set world records, selling Diana's evening dress for $1.14 million in 2023 and her shoes for $390,000 in 2024. Co-founder and CEO Martin Nolan remarked, “This auction is a tribute to Diana's elegance and her enduring impact on culture.”

Private preview events are set to take place in New York, London, and Los Angeles ahead of the live auction, scheduled for June 26 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time at the Peninsula Beverly Hills.
