The CDP, a prominent non-profit organization overseeing environmental data disclosure, awarded ZTE an A score in several categories, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, emissions reduction initiatives, low-carbon product offerings, environmental policy, as well as risk and opportunity disclosures.

This recognition emphasizes ZTE's commitment to environmental transparency and sustainable practices, bolstering its competitive edge in green development. The company was acknowledged for adopting a robust strategy and implementing bold measures to mitigate climate change impacts. In 2024, over 24,800 businesses, representing two-thirds of the global market capitalization, reported their climate actions to CDP, highlighting the importance of transparency in corporate sustainability efforts.

The company’s green end-to-end solutions, deployed in over 30 networks worldwide, cover more than 1.5 million sites and 250,000 data center racks, helping operators save over 10 billion kWh of electricity annually. ZTE's system products achieved an 8.39% decrease in physical intensity during usage and maintenance phases in 2024, resulting in a 5.02% reduction in absolute emissions across product lifecycles compared to the prior year. Furthermore, ZTE evaluated the CO₂ emissions for 154 products across all categories in 2024.

ZTE leverages its 'Digital Nebula' architecture along with precise green cloud networking solutions for sustainable transformations, collaborating with over 2,000 industry partners to implement innovative green 5G+ practices across 15 key sectors, including steel, electronics, transportation, and energy. These efforts have led to the generation of over 100 innovative application scenarios, accelerating digital transformation, energy efficiency, and emissions reductions across various industries.

In April 2024, ZTE officially achieved its short- and long-term targets under the SBTi net-zero criteria, making it the first major ICT company in China to receive dual approval from the SBTi. Following its consecutive two-year recognition on the CDP A List for climate leadership, ZTE is poised to maintain its position as a significant player in environmental sustainability.

Recognized with the EcoVadis Gold Medal for outstanding sustainability performance, ZTE ranks among the top 4% of companies globally and the top 2% in the communications device manufacturing sector.
