Supporting Special Olympics: Drucker + Falk Takes the Plunge
In an inspiring display of community engagement, thirteen apartment communities managed by DF Multifamily, a division of Drucker + Falk (DF), participated in the annual Polar Plunge fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics. This year, the event took place across various locations in Virginia and Ohio, drawing participation from both residents and staff alike.
The Challenge of the Cold
During February, these communities set out to not only take a literal plunge into icy waters but also to raise crucial funds for the Special Olympics. Participants, including DF employees, braved the cold temperatures as they dove into swimming pools prepared for the event. The enthusiasm and spirit were palpable, as community members rallied to support their teams with cheers and donations.
Fundraising Success
Together, the thirteen communities successfully raised an impressive total of
$5,500. Individual fundraising initiatives were in full swing for weeks leading to the event, where teams actively engaged with residents and encouraged them to contribute to the cause. The event not only showcased individual community spirit but also united everyone involved in a collective mission towards inclusivity and empowerment.
Community Voices
Jim Ledbetter, President and COO of Drucker + Falk, expressed his pride in the initiative, stating, "At Drucker + Falk, we believe in fostering strong communities both within our properties and in the surrounding area. Giving back is deeply ingrained in our company values, and this year's Polar Plunge initiative was a wonderful opportunity to live those values.
