Focus on Audit and Commercialization

In his initial phase with PurMinds, Pizzuto's primary objective will be to lead the company through its PCAOB audit over the next two to three months. To enhance audit readiness, PurMinds has engaged an independent third-party accounting firm that will be responsible for preparing crucial technical accounting memos and conducting a detailed internal review of the company’s financial records prior to the audit. This proactive approach highlights PurMinds' emphasis on transparency and meticulous financial governance.

Apart from overseeing the audit, Pizzuto will also focus on the commercialization of emerging high-value opportunities within the company’s operations. He will work closely with the CEO, Janet Qi, on strategic capital-raising initiatives designed to fund the company’s clinical and commercial goals, which may include private placements under Regulations S and D.

Extensive Experience

Angelo Pizzuto brings over two decades of experience in financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate governance. He’s noted for his ability to drive business transformations and has successfully secured upwards of $150 million in financing across various sectors in both Canada and the United States.

For the last three years, Pizzuto played a pivotal role within PurMinds NeuroPharma (10763942 Canada Inc.), where he was already serving as CFO and COO. His past experience also includes serving as Vice President of Corporate Finance Integration at Sandbox Advertising and as CFO and COO at Monocrete Corp., a construction company. Pizzuto has also had a hand in providing fractional CFO services related to financial restructuring and capital acquisition to numerous entities.

Pizzuto is well-equipped for his new position, having earned an Executive MBA from Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario.
