Fujita Kanko Plans Expansion with New Washington Hotel in Tachiwa
Fujita Kanko Co., Ltd., a leading player in Japan's tourism industry, has announced its intention to open the Tachiwa Washington Hotel WEST WING (tentative name) by winter 2028. This new development will be the company's 15th franchise location, carried out in partnership with From One's Heart Co., Ltd., based in Tachiwa, Tokyo.
The signing of a basic agreement with From One's Heart marks the latest step for Fujita Kanko as they aim to enhance their WHG business strategy. The Tachiwa Washington Hotel will join the existing Tachiwa Washington Hotel, opened in 2005, as the second property established through this collaboration.
Prime Location
Located a mere four-minute walk from JR Tachikawa Station, which sees over 360,000 daily commuters, the new hotel will offer easy access to various transportation options, including the Ome Line, the Itukayachi Line, and the Nanbu Line. Additionally, the hotel is located just three minutes from the Tama Monorail’s Tachikawa Minami Station, making this location ideal for both business travelers and tourists.
Tachikawa City serves as a central hub in the Tama region, boasting numerous department stores and large shopping facilities. Notably, the area also provides access to the scenic Oku-Tama region, with popular attractions such as the National Showa Memorial Park, large stadiums, and arenas nearby, making it a favorable destination for events and business activities alike.
Hotel Features
The newly planned Tachiwa Washington Hotel will feature a total of 140 rooms, primarily comprising single rooms. Guests will be able to enjoy a large public bath located on the upper floors, while the ground floor will house a restaurant. Together with the existing Tachiwa Washington Hotel, which has 170 rooms, this new venture will offer a total of 310 rooms in the Tachikawa area, catering to both domestic and international business travelers as well as sightseers.
