In 2023, the renowned French fashion house Longchamp, established in 1948 in Paris by Jean Cassegrain, revitalized its highly celebrated 'My Pliage®' personalized bag service. 'My Pliage®' presents an exciting platform where everyone can craft their ideal bag that resonates with their unique style and personality. This renovation has preserved the option to personalize with leather, fittings, and engravings while introducing two new bag models: a laptop case and a pouch. Customers now have the freedom to select from three body designs—Mini Heart, Big Heart, and Stripe—and add personal messages inside pockets, including expressions like 'READY FOR ADVENTURE!', 'BEST FRIEND FOREVER', or 'I LOVE YOU'.
The revitalized service also offers a diverse palette that celebrates timeless staples along with seasonal must-have colors, allowing customers to find their favorite combinations each season. Dedicated to sustainability, all items are made to order at the atelier in Segre, France, utilizing 100% recycled polyester from PET bottles, combined with high-precision sublimation printing techniques that do not require water.
The Iconic Le Pliage® Legacy
Initially launched in 1993, 'Le Pliage®' is a bag collection designed by Longchamp's second-generation owner, Philippe Cassegrain, who drew inspiration from traditional Japanese origami. For over 30 years, these bags have become icons, loved for their functional beauty and frequently serving as bridges in collaborations across various industries. The newly reborn 'My Pliage®' seamlessly blends playfulness with innovation, vibrancy, boldness, and environmental consciousness, offering customers a unique experience that resonates long after purchase.
