Nexon Unveils Open Beta for 'THE FINALS®' in China

Nexon, a leading online game development and operation company headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, announced today that it will launch the open beta of 'THE FINALS®' in China starting November 18th. The game is being published in partnership with Tencent, who will manage the beta's operation and customize the game to better suit the preferences of Chinese players.

'THE FINALS®' is a free-to-play first-person shooter that features team-based competition in destructible environments. The game has received high praise for its innovative gameplay and was developed by Embark Studios AB, a subsidiary based in Stockholm, Sweden. Following its global launch in December 2023, the game recently saw the release of Season 8 in September.

In addition to the open beta announcement, Nexon and Embark Studios have secured a publishing agreement with Tencent for customized versions of both 'THE FINALS®' and 'ARC Raiders®' for the Chinese market, set to be released in 2024.

Today also marks the global release of 'ARC Raiders®,' a multi-player extraction adventure game set in a future Earth devastated by mysterious mechanical beings known as 'ARC.' The game is available for download on platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation Store. Currently, development is ongoing for a Chinese-customized version of 'ARC Raiders®' as well.
