Pal System Group Welcomes New Employees
On October 1, 2023, the Pal System Group held its new employee ceremony for the fiscal year 2025 in Tokyo. This event marked a significant moment for the 29 new hires who have secured positions in various parts of the organization, including member cooperatives and the Pal System Federation. The ceremony was held at the East Shinjuku headquarters and formed a collaborative event with five different organizations within the group.
A Memorable Ceremony
The event was characterized by a spirit of collaboration as the newly selected employees gathered not only from the Pal System Tokyo, Pal System Kanagawa, Pal System Chiba, Pal System Saitama, but also from the Pal System Federation itself. Each of the 29 attendees is set to begin their careers in the spring of 2026. To commemorate this milestone, every new hire received a specially curated gift package featuring exclusive products from Pal System.
This special gift set included five selected products from each organization’s chairman, along with promotional items from CO-OP insurance. Noteworthy items included:

Speaking on behalf of all five organizations, Ryouko Nishiuchi, Chairperson of Pal System Saitama, extended heartfelt congratulatory remarks to the new employees. She reflected on the challenging social circumstances of the past year, characterized by rising prices and workforce shortages, and noted how the group has managed to thrive despite these challenges. “Our commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability has garnered immense support,” she stated, encouraging the new employees to continue this legacy.
Nishiuchi also highlighted the organization’s involvement in peace initiatives, disaster recovery support, and sustainable actions. She concludes, “I look forward to seeing you take strong leadership as you embody our philosophy of creating a society rich in heart and cooperation. I’m excited for you to take your first steps with us this April.”
A Personal Connection to Pal System
In a passionate response, the representative of the new hires shared their personal journey to this point. “Having participated in events like harvest experiences as a user, I felt a close connection to Pal System,” they expressed. Their interest in food and its significance within the cooperative grew through connections with producers and consumers during training sessions. They emphasized their commitment to promoting understanding of the product and the values of its creators. “I want to ensure that our local community feels secure and satisfied with our offerings.”
Building Relationships
After the official ceremony, activities designed to foster understanding and camaraderie included small group quizzes and discussions. The new hires collaborated with executives to answer quiz questions and engage in conversations centered around shared topics. Many valuable exchanges took place as executives answered questions posed by the newcomers, encouraging them to make the most of their remaining student life while preparing energetically for their upcoming roles.
