The vibrant theater group Nankyoku is set to make waves this November with their latest production, 'SYZYGY', a thrilling radio drama performance created in collaboration with Nippon Broadcasting. Known for their unique style and dynamic performances, Nankyoku has gained popularity in the young theater scene since its inception in Spring 2020, focusing on exciting, humorous, and at times eerie storytelling.

In previous productions like 'wow no netsu' and 'yugai chikyuu wonder tour', Nankyoku has garnered attention, captivating audiences with their distinctive groove and immersive world-building. The group's latest venture promises to delve into the realm of science fiction and radio drama, setting the stage for an unprecedented theatrical experience at the Imagination Studio in Tokyo's Yurakucho district.

What to Expect from 'SYZYGY'

The narrative unfolds inside the Nippon Broadcasting Yurakucho Studio, where tensions rise as a struggling writer prepares for their very first live radio show. The plot twists dramatically around a forbidden radio drama script titled 'SYZYGY', which had been locked away following a prior incident that caused chaos during its original broadcast. With a full cast of ten talented actors from Nankyoku, this production promises to blend thrilling drama with a handful of surprises.

On November 29, the group will welcome special guest Shimada Shuhei, who is known for his appearance on the Nippon Broadcasting podcast 'Shimada Shuhei to Okurashisan!' It will certainly add an unexpected twist to the experience, exclusive to that performance date.
