Sports GOMI: A Fun Way to Tackle Waste Issues at the Osaka-Kansai Expo
On June 8, 2025, the innovative Sports GOMI event took place at Yumesaki, the venue for the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The event, spearheaded by Aeon Delight Co., Ltd., marks the company's first domestic initiative after previously holding six events in Indonesia and Malaysia. This time, in collaboration with local universities and government initiatives, the goal was to raise awareness about waste management by actively engaging participants from all walks of life.
The event saw participation from 63 eager individuals, including students and their families, who formed 17 teams to compete in a clean-up challenge. Together, they successfully collected an impressive total of approximately 436 kilograms of waste, of which about 124 kilograms were recyclable materials, further emphasizing the importance of responsible waste disposal.
