The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art, located at Florida Southern College, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its highly anticipated exhibition titled
The Medici Dynasty: Renaissance in Florence. This catalogue of Renaissance greatness will be on display from
December 13, 2025 to
April 12, 2026, situated within the museum’s Dorothy Jenkins Gallery and Harper Family Gallery. The exhibit will showcase over
60 portraits and artifacts from the Renaissance period, generously loaned from the esteemed
Museo Stibbert in Florence, Italy.
A Significant Moment for Art Enthusiasts
Daryl Ward, the interim executive director of the museum, expressed enthusiasm about the exhibition, stating, “This showcase represents an exciting moment in not only the history of our museum but also for our local community. It features artworks that have never before been seen in the United States, further establishing The AGB as a significant venue for art enthusiasts.” Visitors can look forward to marveling at the profound beauty and historical context of these masterpieces.
