Discover the Historic Tokyo Station Cafe - The North Dome

The enchanting new cafe, TOKYO STATION CAFE -THE NORTH DOME-, is set to open its doors on April 21, 2026, within the iconic Tokyo Station's Marunouchi North Dome. Operated by JR East Cross Station Foods Company, this establishment aims to revive the nostalgic waiting room atmosphere that has welcomed travelers since 1914, allowing patrons to savor a piece of history while enjoying exquisite culinary offerings.

This unique cafe captures the essence of the historic structure with its original brick walls, providing an elegant setting where guests can appreciate both tradition and modernity. The cafe's motto, “A space to savor time and enjoy culture,” encapsulates its commitment to creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the Tokyo Station experience.

Unique Offerings

As part of the opening menu, the cafe will present a selection of curated items designed to enrich the tea time experience. One standout dessert is the “Tokyo Station Cafe Original Domez Cott”, priced at 1,800 yen (including tax). This beautifully crafted pastry represents the vibrant life within the dome, adorned with seasonal fruits and rich custard, ensuring each bite is a delightful journey through the flavors of the seasons.

Another highlight is the “Afternoon Tea Plate”, offered at 3,200 yen (including drink), served from 14:00 onwards. This delightful platter features a blend of sweet and savory items, including two types of seasonal fruit sandwiches, mini parfaits with pistachio and chocolate, and savory creations made with premium Wagyu roast beef and vibrant vegetable frittatas. It promises a luxurious tea experience that pays homage to traditional British afternoon tea.

Specialty Teas and Coffees

Complementing the sweet treats are unique beverage offerings, including the “Original Blend Tea” at 1,200 yen, which combines two types of Indian tea with the mellow sweetness of Japanese black tea. Additionally, the cafe will offer exquisite teas such as the “Darjeeling First Flush” from the Jidda Pahar tea estate at 2,000 yen, renowned for its golden hue and fruity aromas.

Coffee enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with selections like Kilimanjaro coffee and the revered Blue Mountain No.1, brewed with precision to showcase their distinct flavor profiles.

Artistic Collaboration

In collaboration with the Tokyo Station Gallery, an artistic dessert inspired by the exhibition featuring Swiss artist Carl Walther will be available, allowing guests to indulge in both visual and culinary art. Priced at 1,800 yen, this special collaboration dessert features vibrant greens and rich chocolate ice cream, beautifully presented to enhance the artistic experience of the gallery's offerings.
