Creww Collaborates with South Korean Startups for Innovation in 2025

Introduction

Creww Inc., headed by CEO Sora Ijichi, has announced its latest initiative, "Japan Open Innovation Program 2025", aimed at fostering collaboration between Japanese companies and South Korean startups. This program will commence its application process on June 16, 2025, targeting promising startups in South Korea. The selection will be made through thorough assessments followed by the aim to create new businesses and services in collaboration with three Japanese companies.

Background of the Program

In recent years, Creww has noticed a growing interest in Japan’s technology and market from overseas, along with domestic startups seeking international expansion. This program is a direct response to these trends, highlighting Creww's commitment to global innovation. The startup ecosystem in Seoul has shown remarkable growth, as evidenced by its rise to 9th place in the 2024 Global Startup Ecosystem Ranking, climbing three spots from the previous year.

In the previous year’s program, mentoring sessions and discussions culminated in a pitch event named 'Korean Startup Pitch Night 2024,' where seven startups were selected for collaboration with Japanese companies. As this marks the third iteration of the program, Creww aims to continue partnering with Korea's promising startups.

Program Details

The 'Japan Open Innovation Program 2025' will open applications to around 80 promising startups operating within the Seoul Startup Hub M⁺. After document and pitch evaluations, discussions will follow to explore potential collaboration proposals with Japanese companies, ultimately paving the way for business development. Creww will provide support throughout all stages of the selection and matching process leading up to the Demo Day.
