Canada Poised for Growth at Fruit Attraction 2025
As the world gears up for the upcoming Fruit Attraction 2025, taking place from September 30 to October 2 in Madrid, Canada is set to seize a remarkable opportunity that signifies its growing footprint in the global produce market. Organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, this year's event marks its 17th edition, showcasing a robust forecast with anticipated 5% growth across all metrics.
The event promises an impressive participation of 2,179 companies from 61 countries, occupying a sprawling exhibition area of 73,655 square meters—up from the previous year. Early predictions suggest that the number of participating companies may exceed 2,500, expanding the exhibition to cover 75,000 square meters, and attracting over 120,000 trade professionals from around the globe, including representatives from 150 nations.
Among the highlights is the focus on the tomato, which has been chosen as the featured product due to its status as the most widely consumed vegetable worldwide. Attendees can look forward to engaging discussions centered around the tomato's role in nutrition, its social and economic significance, and the intricate geopolitical dynamics of its trade.
This year, the event introduces innovative features, and among them is the Guest Importing Countries initiative, spotlighting Malaysia and Mexico. This aligns with the extensive Buyers Programme that aims to connect over 700 buyers from diverse backgrounds, facilitated by cooperation from organizations like MAPA and ICEX.
In addition to industry networking, the World Fresh Forum will kick off before the event, taking place from September 15 to 17, providing vital insights into the vast markets of Mexico, Malaysia, and China through expert-led webinars.
To elevate the experience for exhibitors, Fruit Attraction 2025 will also bestow the Best Stand Awards, celebrating excellence in creativity, design, sustainability, and audience engagement. These awards will recognize booths that particularly stand out, whether for originality or their commitment to eco-friendly practices.
In a bid to enhance visibility for certified organic products, the event is also launching the Organic Hub Tour, a dedicated path through the exhibition that will spotlight organic innovations. Attendees can look forward to a wealth of knowledge, thanks to planned technical forums covering a broad scope of topics and featuring prominent experts within the industry.
Ultimately, Fruit Attraction 2025 aims to be more than just an exhibition; it is set to be a hub of industry knowledge and a cornerstone for gaining insights that will drive future growth in the global produce market. This event not only reinforces Canada's position in the agricultural sector but also highlights the collective ambitions of all participating countries looking to enhance their international trade relationships.
