Major Expansion Announced by Morton Salt



On June 30, 2025, Morton Salt, officially known as SCIH Salt Holdings Inc., declared a groundbreaking expansion within its Consumer segment, aimed at amplifying its production capabilities across North America. This ambitious initiative is expected to strengthen customer reliability by significantly increasing production outputs of both evaporated and solar salt.

The company plans to ramp up its annual production by approximately 500,000 tons for evaporated salt and 360,000 tons for solar salt as part of its recent and future strategic expansion projects. Notably, several of these enhancements are already operational, with the entire expansion endeavor anticipated to conclude within the next 12 to 18 months.
