Midea Group Unveils Advanced Sustainable Heating Solutions at ISH 2025

Unveiling Midea Group's Sustainable Heating Innovations at ISH 2025

This week at the prominent ISH 2025 trade fair in Frankfurt, Midea Group presented its cutting-edge and sustainable heating solutions under the theme "Green Vision, Blue Future." These innovative technologies aim to greatly enhance energy efficiency in heating and cooling systems across European homes and buildings.

The Importance of Energy Efficiency in Buildings

According to the European Environment Agency, buildings account for a significant portion of greenhouse gas emissions within the EU, contributing to 34% of total emissions related to energy in 2022. A considerable part of this energy is utilized for heating and cooling systems. Encouragingly, emissions from buildings have decreased by 34% since 2005, primarily due to advancements in heating and cooling technologies.

As a global leader in the technology sector, Midea is making strides in reducing energy consumption with a new array of products showcased at ISH 2025 designed to further mitigate environmental impact.

Innovative Solutions from Midea

Midea’s presentation included the R290 heating solutions, which are designed to significantly lower CO2 emissions. By adopting R290 on a large scale, Midea has successfully offset over 3.715 million tons of CO2 emissions globally through the sale of 5.2 million R290 units. The European market will receive a new range of R290 products including the Nature ATW heat pump, H-Pack heat pump, and Vita series water heaters, all of which adhere to the highest EU energy standards rated A+++.

Nature ATW Heat Pump

One of the standout products is the R290 Nature ATW heat pump, specifically designed for the European market. This heat pump operates using natural refrigerant R290, possessing an exceptionally low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3 and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). With impressive thermal efficiency, it can achieve water outlet temperatures up to 80°C, catering to all household heating needs. Furthermore, it features an ultra-quiet compressor that operates at only 30 dB(A) — quieter than a refrigerator.

H-Pack Heat Pump

Next is the H-Pack heat pump, which has been innovatively developed in Germany and designed in Italy. Winning the German Design Award, this unit has no external component and is entirely installable indoors. Its construction simplifies installation, speeding up access to all parts, ensuring efficient and convenient repairs. The H-Pack heat pump also integrates with intelligent grids and features a hybrid mode that leverages home gas boilers to optimize energy use.

Vita Series Water Heaters

The Vita series of water heaters is designed to transition from electric energy storage to natural heating methods, aligning with current trends favoring energy efficiency and high-performance heating solutions. Among its offerings are the easy-to-install Vita R290 Hybrid water heater, Vita Solar, and Vita Gas Flame, ensuring low NOx emissions and stable combustion — ideal for older buildings and high-rise areas.

iEasyEnergy Management Solution

Midea also introduced the iEasyEnergy solution, which delivers smart and flexible energy management for air-water heat pumps, energy storage systems, and solar modules. This comprehensive system oversees energy-consuming devices within a home, enabling up to 90% energy self-sufficiency.

The New Solstice Air Conditioner

Notably, Midea unveiled the latest intelligent air conditioner, Solstice, featuring artificial intelligence capabilities. Its unique 180-degree rotating deflector allows for a cascading airflow system, ensuring warm air reaches users' feet and quickly circulates throughout the room. The upgraded heating unit with a stainless steel casing guarantees reliable winter operation, complemented by the ECOMASTER AI – Midea’s next-generation AI algorithm that offers users over 30% further energy savings.

Commitment to Sustainable Solutions

Midea’s commitment is to present practical, comfortable, and sustainable solutions for homes and businesses across Europe while supporting the HVAC sector in transitioning towards smart and eco-friendly development.

The ISH fair, renowned as a leading global event for the HVAC and plumbing industries, emphasizes energy and water-saving solutions under the banner 'Solutions for a Sustainable Future.' Midea will showcase the fruits of its sustainable initiatives at booth E91 in Hall 12.0.
