Mayfair Gold Announces New Leadership

On October 5, 2026, Mayfair Gold Corp. revealed significant news regarding its executive team. The company proudly announced the appointment of Daniel Janusauskas, P.Eng., as the new Vice President of Technical Services. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering the company’s progress on the Fenn-Gib Gold Project, which is fully owned by Mayfair and located in Northern Ontario. The role will officially commence on November 1, 2026, marking a pivotal moment in the project’s timeline.

Experience and Expertise

Daniel Janusauskas brings over 15 years of rich experience in mining engineering, specifically in technical services, mine planning, and project development as well as operations. His previous endeavors include a notable tenure as Technical Services Manager at Generation Mining. Here, he played a crucial role in advancing the Marathon Copper-Palladium Project, which involved navigating through multiple phases like feasibility updates, lender due diligence, and project financing, all leading up to construction.

Prior to his role at Generation Mining, Janusauskas held various technical and leadership positions at respected organizations such as Baffinland Iron Mines, Detour Gold, and BBA. His extensive background includes operational optimization, life-of-mine planning, and project evaluation through the lens of NI 43-101 studies. A holder of a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from McGill University, he has also been honored with the CIM-Bedford Canadian Young Mining Leaders Award.

A Vision for Fenn-Gib

Drew Anwyll, P.Eng., the Chief Executive Officer of Mayfair Gold, expressed his enthusiasm regarding Janusauskas's appointment. He stated, "I have worked closely with Daniel and can attest to his exceptional engineering skills and broad expertise in mining operations, technical studies, and project development. His technical judgment, practical approach, and strong character position him well to navigate Fenn-Gib through its next phase of development toward becoming an operational gold mine. We are thrilled to welcome him aboard."

Janusauskas himself remarked on the appointment, saying, "Joining Mayfair Gold at such a crucial stage of development is exciting. The team assembled is not only experienced but also agile. I am eager to leverage my project development and operational experience to advance Fenn-Gib towards production and contribute to building Mayfair into a thriving gold company."

The Fenn-Gib Gold Project

Mayfair Gold is focusing on the development of the Fenn-Gib Project, situated in the prolific Timmins region of Northern Ontario. The project boasts an impressive 4.3 million ounces of indicated gold resources with an average grade of 0.74 grams per tonne (g/t). The strategic approach highlighted in the 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) seeks provincial permitting to prioritize the higher-grade resource of 1 million ounces that sits near the surface, revealing the project's scalability and potential for expansion.

Moreover, the PFS suggests that the Fenn-Gib Project could evolve into a new gold producer for Canada, estimating initial capital development at C$450 million, a payback period of approximately 2.7 years, and predicting cumulative free cash flow of approximately US$896 million during the first six years based on a gold price of US$3,100 per ounce. To facilitate this goal, the company is currently involved in permitting activities, detailed engineering, and stakeholder engagement, with an eye towards commencing construction in 2028 and initiating production by 2030.

As Mayfair Gold progresses with its plans, the company is also prioritizing exploration around its extensive land package, aiming to enhance the mineral resource base and identify growth prospects. The addition of Janusauskas to the team is seen as a forward step in pursuing these ambitious goals, reaffirming their commitment to advancing the Fenn-Gib Project into a successful operation.

In conclusion, the recent leadership change marks an exciting new chapter for Mayfair Gold, highlighting their dedication to development and operational excellence in the mining sector. Through the expertise of new appointees like Janusauskas, Mayfair Gold is poised to achieve its objectives and contribute significantly to the Canadian mining landscape.
